Cannot Paste an Image Within a Placeholder (302216)

SYMPTOMS

Under certain conditions, the Microsoft Content Management Server Site Builder will not allow you to paste an image from a placeholder to within the same placeholder.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

The requirements to re-create this issue are:
  • The contents being pasted must come from within the same placeholder.
  • The placeholder must be set to No Formatting Control.
  • The contents to paste must contain text and an image. Pasting an image alone will work.
  1. Log on to the MSCMS 2001 server as a template designer using the Site Builder.
  2. Create a template with a placeholder.
  3. Set the Placeholder properties as follows:

    Multi-Purpose
    Text Allowed
    No Formatting Control
    Images Allowed
    Attachments Allowed
    Represent Video as Embed Files
    Hyperlinks Allowed

  4. Type some text in the placeholder, and then add an image.
  5. In the placeholder, select all, cut, and then paste within the same placeholder.
  6. Click OK when you receive the warning dialog box.
