Multilingual Text Appears Garbled in the Edit Source Dialog Box (302193)

SYMPTOMS

The Content Management Server 2001 Site Builder HTML source editing does not support multilingual text. When you open a multilingual page for authoring in the Site Builder and select Edit Source for a placeholder, the multilingual text appears garbled in the Edit Source dialog box.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, edit the HTML source on a computer that is running the same operating system as the language that you are entering. For example, edit Japanese HTML source code only on a computer that is running a Japanese version of the operating system.
