Database Confirmation Crashes the Database Configuration Application (DCA) (302174)

The information in this article applies to:

  • NCompass Resolution 4.0

This article was previously published under Q302174

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Resolution Database Configuration Application (DCA) to change your database, you will receive a run-time error if you click No when you confirm your database type.

For example, you first select your current database: Empty, Upgrade, or Current. You then receive a database-selection confirmation dialog box. For example, if you are upgrading your database, you receive a dialog box that prompts you as follows:

You have selected a database that requires an upgrade. Upgrade database?

If you are configuring an existing database, you receive a dialog box that prompts you as follows:

Okay to use existing database? Yes No

If you click No for any of the database confirmation options, the DCA will crash and display the following run-time error:
Run-time error '400':

Form already displayed; can't show modally

RESOLUTION

Run through the DCA again, and be sure that you do not click No when you are prompted for the database selection confirmation.
