The Microsoft Management Console May Not Retain Its Location or Size (302085)

If you right-click My Computer, and then click Manage, a Computer Management console is displayed that has a predetermined size and location. When you change the size or location of this console, and then you close and re-open the console, the new settings may not have been retained.
You may have to constantly resize this console because many times it is not large enough to display all of the data that you need to view.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because Microsoft has set the default size and location of the Computer Management console.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, right-click the Compmgmt.msc file in the \Windows\System32 folder, click Author, and then make any necessary changes to the default size and location of the console.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
