When data is sent from MQSeries through the MSMQ-MQSeries Bridge with an indicated format of MQFMT_STRING, the Bridge automatically translates the data to Unicode. Any format type other than MQFMT_STRING is not translated. This may cause problems with data that must be maintained in its native format (for example, ASCII). This may also cause problems when applications specify MQFMT_STRING if the data contains non-character data.
CAUSE
This action is by design, but you can override it. A new registry key is available for the Bridge that forces the MSMQ-MQSeries Bridge to not translate data that is coded as MQFMT_STRING.
