topPublish an Office Document to an FTP Site To use FTP to publish your Office document, you must have access
to an intranet or Internet FTP site that supports the saving of files.
Additionally, you must have access rights to save to this FTP site, and you
must add the FTP site to your list of Internet sites. back to topAdd an FTP Site to the List of Internet SitesThese steps are the same for any Office 2000 program. To add an
FTP site to the list of Internet sites:
- On the File menu, click
Open.
- In the Look in box, click
Add/Modify FTP Locations.
- In the Name of FTP site box, type the name
of your FTP site.
- To log on to a site that permits anonymous FTP access,
click Anonymous.
Or, to log on to a site where you
have user credentials, click User. Type your User
ID, and then type your password if you are prompted. - Click Add.

these steps to publish your document:
- Open the document or Office Web that you want to
publish.
- On the File menu, click Save as
Web Page.
- In the Save in list, click FTP
Locations.
- In the list of FTP sites, double-click the site that you
want, and then double-click the location where you want to save the
document.
- In the File name box, type a name for the
Web page.
- In the folder list, select a location for the Web
page.
- To change the Web page title (the text that appears in the
title bar of your Web browser), click Change Title, type the
new title in the Page title box, and then click
OK.
