SAP Filtering on Specific Types Blocks all SAP Traffic in Windows 2000 (301937)

SYMPTOMS

When you set SAP input filters in Windows 2000 RRAS, all SAP advertisements may be blocked. This occurs with the following configuration:
  • You are using "Input Filters" on the interface that is receiving SAP advertisements from the LAN.
  • On the filter action, you are using the Permit services except listed below option.

RESOLUTION
