You cannot print an unopened HTML formatted message in Outlook 2002 (301910)

This article was previously published under Q301910 SYMPTOMS If you select a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) formatted
message in your Inbox and print the message before you open it, the printer
dialog box appears, but the message may not print or you may receive the
following message:
Please open this HTML message to print it
Note When you print multiple messages, including HTML messages, you do not see this message.CAUSE Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the
Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
WORKAROUND To work around this behavior, open the message and print
it. To do this:
- Double-click the message.
- On the File menu, click Print, and then click OK.
MORE INFORMATION An HTML formatted message may print successfully before you
open it on the first attempt and not print on subsequent attempts, or the
message may not print on the first attempt and print on subsequent attempts.
