SYMPTOMS

When you try to use Step by Step Interactive tutorials and Getting Started tutorials that are included in the products that are listed in the "Applies To" section, you may experience one of the following symptoms:
  • The lessons or Help files may abruptly stop working without a notification that an error has occurred.
  • You may receive the following error message:
    LRUN32 has caused an error in msvcrt.dll. LRUN32 will now close.

CAUSE

Macromedia Flash Player is damaged, is missing, or cannot function as expected. Macromedia Flash Player is required for tutorials or Help files to function as expected.

RESOLUTION

Use one of the following methods o resolve this issue.

Method 1: Remove temporary Internet files

To remove temporary Internet files, follow these steps:
  1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. Click Delete Files.
  4. When you are prompted to confirm the file deletion, click OK.
  5. Click OK, and then quit Internet Explorer.

Method 2: Install Macromedia Flash Player

If Macromedia Flash Player is not installed on your computer, install the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player. To install the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player, visit the following Web site:
