Outlook 2002 or Outlook 2000 Address Book does not display all the Contacts in Word (301447)

SYMPTOMS When you click the Address Book icon, and then click Contacts in the Show names from the box in a version of Microsoft Word listed at the beginning of
this article, only contacts that have an e-mail address or fax number appear.
You do not see the Mailing, Home, or Other radio buttons. If the contacts do not have an e-mail address or
fax number, you will see the following message: There
are no items to show in this view.CAUSE This problem can occur if you upgraded to a version of
Microsoft Outlook listed at the beginning of this article from a previous
version of Microsoft Outlook Internet Mode Only (IMO) mode. RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious
problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft
cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry
Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk. Use the following steps to resolve this problem:
- Close both Word and Outlook .
- On the Start menu, click Run.
- In the Open box, type regedit.
- Click OK.
- Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Outlook\Setup - In the right pane, click MailSupport.
- Press the DELETE key or click Delete on the Edit menu.
- Click Yes in the Confirm Value Delete dialog box.
- On the Registry menu, click Exit.
When you restart Word, you can access all of your Outlook
Contacts when you click the Address Book icon in Word. STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
at the beginning of this article.
