SYMPTOMS

When you open a document that was originally created by using a Microsoft Office XP program, such as Microsoft Excel 2002, Microsoft PowerPoint 2002, or Microsoft Word 2002, a graphic image that was inserted by using Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) may appear much smaller than expected in Office 2001 for Mac.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download and install the Microsoft Office 2001 Service Release 1 file. To do so, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac Service Release 1.
