OL2001: You Cannot Create or View HTML Messages (300650)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Outlook 2001 for Mac
This article was previously published under Q300650 SUMMARY
Outlook 2001 for Mac does not include any functionality to create or view Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) messages.
MORE INFORMATION
Outlook 2001 for Mac users can create and send Microsoft Outlook Rich Text format (RTF) messages only. HTML messages that are sent to Outlook 2001 for Mac users are converted to RTF messages on the Microsoft Exchange Server.
If an HTML message containing text links is received in the Microsoft Exchange Server Inbox with Outlook 2001, the link is displayed as blue underlined text. This behavior applies when the sender formats the message with text such as "Click Here" with the actual Uniform Resource Locator (URL) associated with the text link. Clicking the text link does not activate the page to which it is associated.
