BUG: Print Jobs from Query Analyzer Fail to Complete Spooling (300478)

SYMPTOMS

Print jobs from Query Analyzer may not successfully complete the spooling process in the Print Spooler. Moreover, you may be unable to cancel or delete these print jobs in the Print Spooler.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Query Analyzer, and then cancel the print jobs in the Print Spooler.
  2. Print the files by using Notepad or another text editor (instead of using Query Analyzer).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
