The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Operations Manager 2000

This article was previously published under Q300350

SYMPTOMS

When a Consolidator is unable to connect to the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) database for a period of time longer than 10 minutes, the HandleCount for the OnePoint service may increase significantly.

Also, the increase in HandleCount may cause frequent service bounces for the OnePoint service, which is restarted whenever HandleCount reaches 10,000.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
