  • Microsoft Operations Manager 2000

This article was previously published under Q300326

SYMPTOMS

In the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) Administrator Console, your custom Performance Data View may not display performance data for the time frame that you define.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

When you create a custom view, the view correctly displays performance data from a specific start date to the current time. However, if you modify this view to display performance data between a specified start time and end time, the graph is not updated to reflect the change.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Create a custom Performance Data View:
    1. Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default), expand Monitor, and then click My Views.
    2. Right-click My Views, click New, and then click Performance Data View.
    3. Use the wizard that appears to specify the criteria that you want to monitor, for example, computer names and counters.
    4. Under Performance Data View - Graph selection, click In the last, and then specify a time frame.
  2. After you create the custom view, display its contents in graph format. Note that the time displayed is from the defined start date to the current time.
  3. Right-click your new Performance Data View, and then click Properties.
  4. On the Graph tab, modify the display properties of the graph by providing some values under Within the time range.
  5. Return to the graph, and then click Refresh. Note that the contents of the graph are not updated.
