MOM Agent Status Appears as "Unknown" (300315)

When you view the status of a Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) agent, the status of the agent is Unknown.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because MOM marks the status of an agent as Unknown if the interval between heartbeats from the agent computer is more than 10 minutes.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, make sure that the OnePoint service is running on the agent computer and that the agent is currently on the network.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
