SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) Reporting tool may log the following event information without a registered event source:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: Reporting
Event ID: 1025
Description:
The description for Event ID (1025) in Source (Reporting) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: I1001: Unattended printing of report 'AD DOMAIN CONTROLLER MEMORY CAPACITY PLANNING BY PEAK HOURS' succeeded.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the "Reporting" event source is being logged without being registered.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, create a message DLL for the event source that the reporting system generates and then register it.
