The page cannot be found
HTTP 404 - File Not Found
Internet Explorer
-or-
No web site is configured at this address
CAUSE
A connection is being to be made to a Web site that is using one or more host headers, and the host name that is being requested does not match any of the host headers that are configured for that site.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
- If you want to be able to connect to the Web site by using an additional host name, add it to the list of host headers for that site:
- Start the Internet Service Manager (InetMgr.exe).
- Right-click the Web site to be configured, and then click Properties.
- On the Web Site tab, select the IP address that the site will use.
NOTE: If you only have one IP address on the server, select All Unassigned, and then set the TCP port that you want to use (usually 80).
- Click Advanced.
- In the Multiple identities for this Web Site list, select the identity that you want to use.
- Click Add, and then add the host header name.
- Apply these changes, and then start the Web site (if it is not already running).
- Remove all host header entries:
- Start the Internet Service Manager (Iis.msc).
- Right-click the Web site to be configured, and then click Properties.
- On the Web Site tab, select the IP address that the site will use.
NOTE: If you only have one IP address on the server, select All Unassigned, and then set the TCP port that you want to use (usually 80).
- Click Advanced.
- In the Multiple identities for this Web Site list, select the identity that contains the host header that you want to remove.
- Click Edit, and then delete the host header.
- Apply these changes, and then start the Web site (if it is not already running).
