SUMMARY

Microsoft Outlook 2002 includes stationery to change the default font and style, change colors, and add background to your messages. The Microsoft Office Personal Portfolio adds additional stationery choices. This article describes how to use the stationery, and which stationery is included in each product.

Stationery is an added feature for messages that are sent in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format. Use the following steps to specify a default stationery to use in all new messages:
  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. On the Mail Format tab, and then click HTML in the Compose in this message format box.
  4. In the Use this stationery by default box, click the stationery that you want.

    -or-

    To see a preview of the stationery, click Stationery Picker, click the stationery that you want, and then click OK.
  5. Click OK.
Use the following steps to select stationery for a single new message:
  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the Actions menu, point to New Mail Message Using, and then click the stationery that you want to use.

    If the stationery that you want is not listed, click More Stationery, click the stationery that you want to use, and then click OK.
