Visio2002: Shape Disappears from Network Diagram After You Attempt to Move It (300009)

In Microsoft Visio, when you attempt to move a network shape in a network diagram, the shape may unexpectedly disappear from the drawing page.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when the network diagram is maximized and you move the shape by selecting the right side of the shape, and then drag it very quickly towards the left border of the drawing page.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, use either of the following methods:
- Click Undo on the Edit menu.
NOTE: The Undo command on the Edit menu, may be displayed as Undo Delete Object.
-or- - Click the Undo arrow on the toolbar.
When you want to move network shapes in a network diagram, do not move them too quickly across the drawing page.
