ACC2000: "Overflow" Error Message When You Use the Input Mask Wizard (298984)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use the Input Mask Wizard in Microsoft Access, you receive the following error message:

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, rename Acwzusr.mdt, and then restart Microsoft Access. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Access if it is open.
  2. Click Start, point to Search, and then click For Files or Folders.
  3. Search for files named Acwzusr.mdt.
  4. In the Search Results list, right-click Acwzusr.mdt, and then click Rename. Type Acwzusr.old, and then press ENTER.
  5. Start Access.
