OL2002: Messages Are Sent from the Default E-mail Account When You Send a Message While You View a Hotmail Folder (298893)

SYMPTOMS

If you send a message while you are viewing a Hotmail folder, the message is sent through the default e-mail account instead of the Hotmail account.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Microsoft Outlook does not detect that you are currently viewing a Hotmail folder, and it cannot automatically configure the message to be sent with the Hotmail account.

This behavior is By Design.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, click the Accounts toolbar button and select the Hotmail account from which you want the message to be sent before you send the message.
