Advanced Search Page Returns HTTP Error 403 (298875)

SYMPTOMS

When users click Advanced Search in the dashboard site, the following error message is returned in the browser:
HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden
You are not authorized to view this page.
You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied.

CAUSE

Write permission is disabled on the workspace virtual directory.

RESOLUTION

With Internet Services Manager, enable Write access on the workspace virtual directory. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Expand the default Web site, right-click the workspace virtual directory, and then click Properties.
  2. On the Virtual Directory tab, click Write under Local Path. Click OK to save.
  3. Restart the default Web site.
