PUB2002: CMYK Graphic Is Listed as RGB Color Model in Graphics Manager (298855)

SYMPTOMS

When you select a linked CMYK picture in the Graphics Manager and then click Details, the Color Model is displayed as RGB instead of CMYK.

CAUSE

This is an error in the Color Model display area of the Graphics Manager window and does not mean that your picture has been converted to RGB. This will not result in the incorrect separation of linked CMYK Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) graphics from within Publisher 2002.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
