FIX: Unable to Browse Data Mining Model that has the Same Name as a Cube (298711)

SYMPTOMS
If a new data mining model is created that uses the same name as any of the cubes in the database, you cannot browse the data mining model even if it was created and processed successfully.
The following error message occurs when you attempt to browse the data mining model by using Analysis Manager:
This mining model has never been processed, or it has changed since it was last processed. You must process it before you can browse it.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (the Analysis Services Components - Sql2kasp1.exe). For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the

WORKAROUND
Data mining models should not share the same name with a cube under the same database. Change the name of the mining model and the error message will not occur.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services version 8.0. This problem was first corrected in the Analysis Services Components of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
