TV Photo Viewer: PowerPoint Slides Are Out of Order When Added to Album (298658)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft TV Photoviewer 1.0
This article was previously published under Q298658 SYMPTOMS
It is possible to save a Microsoft PowerPoint slide presentation in the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) format and view it by using Microsoft TV Photo Viewer. However, when the slides are moved to the Photo Viewer album, they lose their prescribed order.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because PowerPoint saves the slides in a presentation as Slide1, Slide2, and so on. If there are more than nine slides, the tenth slide becomes Slide10, the eleventh becomes Slide11, and so on. When these slides are copied over to the Photo Viewer album, Photo Viewer sorts the slides alphanumerically. Slide1 is followed by Slide10, Slide11, Slide12, and so on. By this sorting method, for example, Slide2 comes after Slide19.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, manually grab and drag the slides in the album to their proper positions in the slide show.
