WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, enable all users of your computer to customize their preferences, and then configure the cookie settings to the desired security level for each user after they log on to Windows:
Enable Users to Customize Preferences
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Passwords.
- In the Passwords Properties dialog box, click the User Profiles tab.
- Click Users can customize their preferences and desktop settings. Windows switches to your personal settings when you log on.
- Under User profile settings, click to select the check boxes that correspond to the settings that you want to be saved in user profiles, and then click OK.
NOTE: You can also create new users and enable multi-user settings by clicking
Users in
Control Panel. The wizard sets up a username and password for each user so that desktop settings are automatically available when each user logs on.
Reconfigure the Privacy Settings for Each User
Have each user log on to Windows and configure their cookie settings. In Internet Explorer 6, cookies settings are configured on the
Privacy tab of the
Internet Options dialog box, on the
Tools menu.
