DOC: Business Desk Dynamic Report Require OLEDB Provider for OLAP Services (298524)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Commerce Server 2000
This article was previously published under Q298524 SUMMARY
To view dynamic reports from the Business Desk client in Commerce Server 2000, the computer running the Business Desk client must have the OLEDB Provider for OLAP Services installed.
The documentation for Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 specifies that Microsoft SQL Server Client Tools or Microsoft Office 2000 is required for the Business Desk client to function correctly. This is incorrect.
MORE INFORMATION
Both Microsoft Office 2000 and Analysis Services Client Tools install the OLE DB Provider for OLAP Services, which is required by Business Desk.
If you are accessing a SQL Server 7.0 database, then you must install the SQL Server 7.0 OLAP Server Client Tools on the computer running the Business Desk client.
