SYMPTOMS

When you use the Fast User Switching feature on a computer that runs Half-Life version 1.0.0.8 or earlier, you may receive the following error message:
Unable to restore DirectDraw Video

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because Half-Life version 1.0.0.8 or earlier does not run correctly on Windows XP.

RESOLUTION
