When a user whose account is in the Windows 2000 Active Directory tries to log on with an incorrect password too many times, this user's account may be locked out because of a security policy. This account may be unlocked after the lock duration expires. However, the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in may report that this user's account is locked even after the account is unlocked and the user can successfully log on with the correct password.
CAUSE
This problem can be caused if the snap-in user interface code does not correctly refresh the account lockout information.
