Change Option Is Not Available in Add/Remove Programs for Mobile Information Server (297959)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to change any of the components of Mobile Information Server, you are unable to change the components by using the Add/Remove Programs tool that is located in Control Panel; only the Remove option is available in Add/Remove Programs.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, run Setup from the installation media; the Change, Repair and Remove options are available in the Setup Wizard.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
