FIX: Korean IME Window Closes When You Type Korean Characters in BizTalk Editor (297642)

SYMPTOMS

If you type Korean characters in BizTalk Editor, the Korean Input Method Editor (IME) closes before the proper character is chosen from the IME list.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Open BizTalk Editor.
  2. Open a document specification.
  3. On the right side of the Microsoft Windows task bar to change to Korean IME, click the Language icon.
  4. In BizTalk Editor, select a record or field to rename, or select any Property text box to edit.
  5. Type in the Korean IME window.
  6. Press the RIGHT CTRL key to convert the text to Hanja. A list of characters is displayed. If more than nine characters are available, the arrow buttons are activated.
  7. Click the right arrow button to view more character choices. Instead of displaying additional character options, the Korean IME window closes. Characters that you typed before the Hanja conversion remain in the Record name or Field name text box or the Property text box.
