FIX: Invalid Element Naming Is Allowed When You Use Korean Double Byte Character Set (297595)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000

This article was previously published under Q297595

SYMPTOMS

In the BizTalk Editor, when you try to rename a Record or Field to the name of an existing Record or Field, the following error message appears:
A field element or record with the name "record1" already exists in the tree.
You cannot rename a field to the same name as an existing field or record.
For more information about creating a new node using the same name as an existing node, see Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 Help.
Do you want to revert back to the original string "record2"?
If the Records or Fields are named with the Korean Double-Byte Character Set (DBCS), the invalid naming is allowed when you click No and choose not to revert back to the original string.

In this case, the BizTalk Editor should block the invalid naming by having the user rename the Record or Field again.
