SYMPTOMS

When you click Action Menu, and then click Look up Sender to search for an e-mail address of a sender in Outlook Mobile Access (a program that is included with Mobile Information Server 2001), you may receive the following error message on your device:
An unknown error occurred. Exchange 2000 Server data module, 0xCFF1041E

CAUSE

This problem can occur when you attempt to search for an e-mail address of a sender, and the sender does not exist.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do not look up the sender in Outlook Mobile Access if the mail item does not have a sender.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
