XCCC: Received Date and Time Stamp on E-mail Messages That Are Sent from Outlook 2002 to Outlook Mobile Access Is Incorrect When You Forward or Reply to Message (297404)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Mobile Information 2001 Server 1.0

This article was previously published under Q297404

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Outlook Mobile Access to forward or reply to an e-mail message that originates from a Microsoft Outlook 2002 user, the received date and time stamp from the original Outlook 2002 message is retained instead of the date and time stamp that is used when the message is received by the Outlook Mobile Access user.

When the recipient views these forwarded and replied e-mail messages in Outlook 2002, the date and time stamp indicated for "Received" is the same as the date and time stamp in the message that is being forwarded. This date and time stamp is incorrect, and the message should indicate the date and time that the message actually arrived in the Outlook 2002 recipient's mailbox.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
