KEYBOARD: Error Message: IntelliType Setup Detected Another Keyboard Software on Your System (297331)

When you attempt to install Microsoft IntelliType Pro keyboard software on your computer, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
IntelliType setup detected another keyboard software on your system.
This error message may continue to appear after you uninstall the other keyboard software.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when Hewlett-Packard (HP) One-Touch keyboard software is installed on your system. Not all of the files are removed when you uninstall this software.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
- On the Install/Uninstall tab, select the One-Touch keyboard software, and then click Add/Remove.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall the One-Touch keyboard software.
NOTE: This step removes the keyboard software but does not remove the add-ins from the Start menu. Follow the remaining steps in this section to remove the keyboard software add-ins from the Start menu. - Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar & Start Menu.
- On the Advanced tab, click Remove.
- Click the plus sign next to StartUp, select the One-Touch program, and then click Remove.
- Click Close, and then click OK.
- Restart the computer.

risk. - Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open line, type: regedit, and then click OK.
- Navigate to the following registry key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Keyboard manager
- In the right frame under Data, delete the following line:
c:\program files\netropa\one-touch multimedia keyboard
- Click Yes, and then exit the Registry Editor.
