INFO: Microsoft SOAP Toolkit 2.0 Interoperability (297195)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft SOAP Toolkit 2.0

This article was previously published under Q297195

SUMMARY

Microsoft SOAP Toolkit version 2.0 is compliant with the Web Services Description Language (WSDL) and SOAP 1.1 and is supported by Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS).

Theoretically, it is possible to interoperate with other toolkits that support WSDL 1.1; however, at the time of release, interoperability testing could only be performed on a limited number of peer SOAP toolkits. Additionally, PSS does not have the expertise or facilities to diagnose all interoperability issues with all peer SOAP toolkits. Therefore, support for interoperability will be handled on a "best-effort" basis.

MORE INFORMATION

Currently, the SOAP Toolkits that have been interoperability tested with the Microsoft SOAP Toolkit 2.0 are as follows:
  • Apache Soap Toolkit 2.1
This article will be updated to reflect any new additions of peer SOAP Toolkits that are interoperability tested against the SOAP Toolkit 2.0.

To assist with timely and accurate resolution of interoperability issues, provide your support professional with the following:
  • WSDL and WSML files
  • Detailed error messages or trace logs obtained using the Microsoft SOAP Toolkit 2.0 Trace Utility
