SYMPTOMS

After you install Windows Media Player 7 with the Roxio (Adaptec) CD Burning Plug-in component, any of the following symptoms may occur:
  • Some of your CD drives (CD-ROM, CD-R, or CD-RW drives) might not appear.
  • The Easy CD Creator software might not work.
  • Windows Media Player 7 CD burning might not function.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are not using a compatible version of the Easy CD Creator or DirectCD software.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, make sure that you have a compatible version of Easy CD Creator or DirectCD by checking the following Roxio Web site:

http://www.roxio.com/en/support/cdrwin/cdrecos.html

After you obtain the latest compatible version of Easy CD Creator or DirectCD:
