XCLN: Outlook Offline Address Book Available for Download Is Based on the Account That You Use to Log On (297008)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q297008 SYMPTOMS
When an Address Book is displayed for download, the Address Book that is available for download is based on the account that you are currently logged on with, not the mailbox account that is active. In an environment in which multiple Global Address Books are available for download and the system has been set up to restrict certain global Address Books, this behavior might cause confusion for an administrator. If you log on to the network by using one account with access to a given Address book, but gain access to a separate mailbox that is associated with another account, when you attempt to download the offline Address Book, the Address Book that is available is the address book that is available for the network account that you used to log on, not the additional mailbox.
