On either a Windows 2000 Professional-based computer or a Windows 2000 Server-based server that is a member of a Windows NT 4.0-based domain, when you attempt to print, you may receive the following error message:
An error occurred during this operation.
You cannot print. Yet, if you log on to either Windows NT 4.0 Workstation or Windows NT 4.0 Server, you can print.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because the Windows NT 4.0 domain policy is set to "Remove Folders from Settings" on the Start menu.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, remove the "Remove Folders from Settings" policy setting and you can print. For additional information, click the article number below
