SUMMARY

The Microsoft Entourage X and the Microsoft Entourage 2001 conduits for synchronizing items with a Palm device cannot synchronize e-mail messages.

MORE INFORMATION

The Entourage conduits allow the Palm HotSync program to synchronize Calendar, Notes, Tasks, and the Address Book from an Entourage Identity. You can synchronize the text of mail messages by using an AppleScript that is supplied with Entourage to convert the text to Notes, and then synchronizing the Notes.

To synchronize e-mail message text as Notes:
  1. In the folder that contains the messages that you want to synchronize, click a single message or select a group of messages.
  2. On the AppleScript menu, click Create Note from Message.

NOTE: The AppleScript menu is identified by a scroll icon and is located between the Window and Help menus.
  3. Perform a HotSync procedure to synchronize Notes from Entourage to the Palm device.
In addition to the preceding procedure, you can create Events and Tasks by using the Create Event from Message and Create Task form Message AppleScripts, and then synchronizing with the Palm device. The complete text of the e-mail message appears in the notes body of the Event or Task.
