Netdde.exe Stops Responding When Used from a Service on a Computer That Runs Windows 2000 (296731)

When you use Network Dynamic Data Exchange (Netdde.exe) to communicate between a Windows 2000 service and an interactive program that are on the same computer, the Netdde.exe service may stop responding. The program or service may stop responding (hang), and Task Manager cannot end Netdde.exe.
This behavior occurs only if multiple connection attempts are made in rapid succession.
