When you start Outlook Express version 6 with the regional settings set to Chinese, Arabic, or Hebrew, the splash screen displays square boxes.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the splash screen conforms to American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards and does not support the character sets for these languages.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
