This article describes two methods that you can use to confirm that data from a Lotus Notes database is successfully replicated to an Exchange 2000 public folder.

The method that you use depends on whether you are replicating Lotus Notes data to either a Web Storage System program or a Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) folder.

Method 1: Using a Web Storage System Program

If you are using a Web Storage System program, use the Web Storage System Explorer tool to browse to the Exchange 2000 folder, and then view the contents of the folder to confirm that the data was successfully transferred. Web Storage System Explorer is available with the Web Storage System Software Development Kit (SDK).

Method 2: Using a MAPI Folder

If you are using a MAPI folder, use the Mdbvu32.exe tool to browse to the Exchange 2000 folder, and then view the contents of the folder to confirm that the data was successfully transferred. The Mdbvu32.exe tool is located in the Support\Utils\I386 folder on both the Exchange Server 5.5 compact disc (CD) and the Exchange 2000 CD.
