In Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac, when you use the Excel, PowerPoint, and Word programs, you cannot use the keyboard to activate the menu bar and navigate through the menus.
CAUSE
This behavior results from a change in functionality in Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac, to make Office 2001 more compatible with Mac OS X.
WORKAROUND

In PowerPoint 2001 for Mac: For more information about inability to choose menu items with keyboard, follow these steps: - On the Help menu, click Contents and Index, click Index, and then click K.
- Scroll down until you locate keyboard, and then click the arrow to the left to view a list of topics under the general topic.
