SYMPTOMS

When you view the list of entries in the Microsoft Internet Explorer Address bar, your previous single-word searches are displayed in the list, but multiple-word searches are not displayed.

For example, if you previously searched by typing "mountain" and "mountain bikes" in the Address bar, the "mountain" single-word search is displayed in the Address bar list, but the "mountain bikes" multiple-word search is not displayed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.
  • Retype your multiple-word search in the Address bar.

    -or-
  • Click the entry in the Address bar list that corresponds to the Microsoft Network (MSN) Autosearch URL for your multiple-word search. For example, the multiple-word search "mountain bike" is displayed in the Address bar list in a format similar to the following:
    http://auto.search.msn.com/results.asp?cfg=SMCINITIAL&srch=5&FORM=AS5&RS=CHECKED&v=1&q=mountain+bikes
    					

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
