SYMPTOMS

You are unable to use the F2 key in the Add Favorites dialog box to rename existing Web pages and folders in your Favorites list.

RESOLUTION

To rename Web pages and folders in your Favorites list, use one of the following methods:

Method 1

  1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Favorites menu or the Favorites bar, right-click the Web page or folder that you want to rename, and then click Rename.
  3. Type a new name.

Method 2

  1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Favorites menu, click Organize Favorites, and then click the Web page or folder that you want to rename, and then click Rename or press F2..
  3. Type a new name.
