XADM: Exchange 2000 Servers May Drop Connectors in Multi-Master Environment (296235)

Exchange 2000 Server may occasionally drop properly configured connectors between two Exchange 2000 servers if both Exchange 2000 servers are masters. The connector still appears in Exchange System Manager, but does not appear in WinRoute.
If this problem occurs, the connectors temporarily regain their functionality when the Exchange 2000 services are cycled on both servers, but the connectors are eventually dropped again. Because of this, mail is queued in the "unreachable destination queue."
