Previous versions of Microsoft Outlook for Macintosh included an Inbox Repair Tool. This tool is not available in Outlook 2001 for Mac and you are not able to properly use the Inbox Repair Tool that is provided with previous versions of Outlook for Macintosh on any files in Outlook 2001 for Mac.
If you have access to a computer with Outlook for Microsoft Windows, you can move your .pst file to that computer and run the Inbox Repair Tool to attempt to repair a damaged .pst file.
