PPP Connection Does Not Work Without a Password (296054)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to establish a dial-up connection without a password, the device may stop dialing, and you may receive the following error message:
You have been disconnected from the remote computer you dialed. Retry the connection.

CAUSE

This problem can occur when an incorrectly formatted PPP Password Authentication Protocol packet is sent to the host.

RESOLUTION
